History

1894

The school Colegio Sagrado Corazón Carmelitas was founded in Vitoria-Gasteiz by sisters of the Vedruna Carmelite order, with a clear aim: to respond to a social need, the academic and moral education of girls.

1982

The School became coeducational.

1987

Teaching model “B” was introduced.

1994

The Vedruna Music School opened its doors.  Although managed as a separate entity, students of this School can complete and complement their education in it.

1997

Model "B" is divided into two classes and model "A" is modified to bilingual education in English.

1999

The First Year of Infant Education is introduced (2 years).

2002

The first Vocational Training Course began: Specialist in Infant Education.

2004

An agreement was signed with Cambridge University, allowing the school Colegio Sagrado Corazón to hold exams on their premises.

2005

The School received the Silver Q for Quality Management from Euskalit (Basque Quality Institute).

2007

The School received the Gold Q for Quality Management from Euskalit (Basque Quality Institute).
