CARPE DIEM literary magazine

History

This magazine was created in 1990 in the Spanish Language and Literature Department to summarise the activities carried out within its programme.

In 1991, this activity was extended to all subjects and all languages in order to present all the work done during the school year to the entire education community.

This publication is prepared on a yearly basis by and for students of secondary compulsory education, pre-university, and vocational training with collaborations in Spanish, Basque and English.

This publication is subsidised by the School Parents Association and 450 copies are printed with an average length of 70 pages, in black and white.

Issue XX was published during the 2005-2006 school year. It had 60 pages and was prepared with the direct participation of one hundred students and fifteen teachers.

Aims:

  • Foster creativity and participation.
  • Be used as a means of expression for students with artistic-literary aptitudes.
  • Encourage reading, aesthetic pleasure and literary criticism.
  • Support the tri-linguism established in the School.
  • Favour training in humane, Christian values
